In 1915 a group of businessmen in the inner city of Detroit, Michigan decided to form a service organization. They chose the name Kiwanis. Since that time the Kiwanis organization has grown to over 600,000 members in 94 countries worldwide.

The primary focus of Kiwanis is serving the children of the world. As a Past International President of this organization I take great pride in introducing and explaining what Kiwanis does, what it can do and will do for your community.

The Kiwanis organization is made up of community minded citizens like you who are willing to help with children's causes and needs. I have had the opportunity first hand to witness the magic of Kiwanis throughout the world. I have seen lives saved, lives changed for the better, and have observed dramatic improvements in entire communities through the efforts of the local Kiwanis club.

If you are looking for a way to provide service and give back to your community; if you have an interest in the well being of the children of your community; I strongly encourage you to consider becoming involved and joining the third largest service organization in the world, Kiwanis International.
